Code of Conduct
In our work we follow the code of professional conduct of interpreters and translators. The code of professional conduct for written by organisations representing professional interpreters and translators in Finland: the Union of Finnish Translators and Interpreter, Translation Industry Professionals KAJ, the Finnish Association of Interpreters for people with speaking disabilities, the Finnish Association of Sign Language Interpreters, the Finnish Script Interpreters’ Association, Interpreting Centre of the Helsinki Region, Interpreting Centre of Central Finland, The Finnish Federation of Hard of Hearing (FFHOH), and the Finnish Association of the Deaf.
The code of professional conduct is a code of ethical conduct that guides the work of us, interpreters and translators, and provides us with a toolkit to refer to in difficult situations.
